Kara Tondorf is a singer songwriter and restaurateur from Scituate, Ma. In her early years of performing, Kara´s debut album, “I Like Your Face,” was voted album of the year by Music Connection Magazine. The song “Your Words” from her freshman album was featured on the television show, “Dawson´s Creek.” After years of extensive touring, living in Los Angeles and selling out venues like the original House of Blues in Cambridge, MA, Kara landed in nashville to focus more on the songwriting aspect of music. During her time in Nashville, she shared the stage with many other songwriters and played iconic venues like the Bluebird Café.

Upon returning from Nashville Kara got involved in opening, renovation and operating restaurants. She started the Rivershed which eventually became three locations, the flagship location in Scituate, MA, one in Braintree, MA and one in Killington, VT. Here she was able to network with some top local songwriters and songwriters from Nashville to give these locations a very vibrant music scene.

In 2018 Kara started the Rivershed Songwriters Festival which has been held at her various Rivershed restaurant locations. These festivals feature the hit songwriters of yesterday, today´s and tomorrow´s top country & pop songs. Currently Kara is getting more involved in playing songwriters festivals herselv, writing with other artists and focusing on the music at her own restaurants. In 2023 kara recorded her single. “Winter Coat” with Sony Records artist and producer, Chris Loocke.
