At just 25 years old, Christine Aggerholm uses her songwriting to explore deep thoughts and feelings about current societal trends. With a fragile yet powerful voice, she creates a catchy soundscape where she integrates acoustic elements into an otherwise electronic production – a tribute to the organic. Inspired by strong female role models like Eee Gee and Emma Sehested Høeg, Carmie has forged her own unique expression.
In 2023, Carmie released three singles that serve as musical contributions to the debate about young people’s well-being. Carmie’s songs have already made an impression on Danish radio stations such as P4, P5, and Radio Nordjyske, and have been named “Ugens Hittip” (Hit of the Week) on P4. Additionally, several of her songs have been included on popular playlists like New Music Friday, New Music Daily, and Karrierekanonen.
On the Danish live scene, Carmie has made a name for herself with numerous concerts at festivals like Uhørt and SPOT, as well as headlining performances at Musikhusparken, Headquarters, and Urban 13, to name just a few. She has also supported established artists such as Mads Langer and Hugorm. The young Danish artist has big plans, including new singles in the spring of 2025, and spring concerts. Audiences can look forward to much more from Carmie in the time to come.
