Performing full band show + writers round
Show: Friday
Kasper Buch makes no secret of his deep roots in the folk music scene of Tønder, where he grew up. His music is highly rhythmic, and if you had to describe it in a few words, many would say it’s energetic and present. In the spring of 2024, he released his second full-length album, tentatively titled “Working Hard”. An optimistic release that describes the hard work that Kasper Buch and the band have put in over the past few years. The album is full of dynamics, top-shelf inspirations, a presence, and a nerve that Kasper Buch has created in Lundgaard Studio, with the rest of his fantastic band behind him. “We’ve managed to create an album that’s as close to the live sound we create for our audience!” The audience has already identified him as a name on the Danish folk music scene.
With that said, the Skagen and Stribfestivals, considered some of the leading stages in the genre, have also featured the young man from Tønder. The media spotlight has also created headlines for Kasper Buch in various contexts. Considerable radio time on DR P4 and DR P5, as well as TV appearances, have created further ripples. Most recently, the song ‘Holding On’ was played extensively for 8 weeks on the DR program ‘P4 Play’. He has won two music awards in a very short time, which has greatly motivated Kasper Buch to continue on his current journey.
