Kristel Lisberg is born and raised on the beautiful Faroe Islands which lie in the cold Atlantic Sea. She has been nominated for the Faroe Islands’ best singer at the Faroese Music Awards. She is a well-established artist in the Faroe Islands and has written and released multiple singles under her own name. Kristel has also reached the Danish music scene where her songs have received radio play on both P4 and P5 on the Danish national radio, DR. She has performed as a solo artist at the Danish Melodigrandprix( Eurovision) in 2016 and also participated in X factor and Danish Pop Talent. Kristel always has had a passion for country music and would listen to the songs of Patsy Cline, Leann Rimes, and Shania Twain as she dreamt of finding her own way into the country music scene.  

In 2023, Kristel was contacted by producer Jimmy Ritchey (US), who has produced and written music for country stars such as George Strait, Mark Chestnutt, Jake Owen and others. Ritchey had heard Kristel’s songs through some mutual friends and proposed a collaboration over in Nashville. Shortly after, Kristel decided to travel to Nashville, Music City, following her dream to take her music to new heights.

Since then, she has been in Nashville several times working on her new music. She has had writer sessions with Sharon Vaughn (board member of Country Music Hall of Fame), Greg Friia, Quinn Loggings, Larry McCoy, and Kris Bergnes, all of whom have written for major country stars. Kristel will soon be ready to release her new tracks recorded at Shannon Forrest’s (TOTO) studio and produced by Jimmy Ritchey. The musicians on the recordings are some of the best in Nashville e.g. Rob Mcnelley, Shannon Forrest, Craig Yong and others. Kristel has also performed at many famous venues in Nashville, such as The Live Oak, Roberts Western World and The Local.

Kristel is now looking forward bringing her songs to The Nashville Nights and sharing her love for country music with the audience.
