Morten Kjærgaard sits down with one of Denmark’s most versatile bassists. Henrik “SP” Schou Poulsen made his breakthrough with Thomas Helmig Brothers, played on Sko/Torp’s smash hit album On a Long Lonely Night, and has since played with just about every major name in Danish music: One Two, Søs Fenger, Sanne Salomonsen, Gnags, Rasmus Seebach, and many more. He is also one-third of the legendary New Orleans trio SP Just Frost, and currently plays with Mika Vandborg, among others. We’ll hear about SP’s musical journey across four decades on the Danish music scene—and, of course, get to hear his incredible groove.
