Sounds Like Us (DK)

Shows:

Some bands are formed by design. Sounds Like Us was formed by friendship. After more than 30 years on a shared musical journey, Søren Okholm, Lars Andresen, and Stefan Mørk came together for a project that makes room for everything they love about music: strong songs, great craftsmanship, live musicians, and stories with heart.

Musically, Sounds Like Us moves in the intersection of pop, soul, and rock. The American Nashville tradition has been a major source of inspiration—especially the belief that the best songs often start with a great story. The lyrics revolve around the experiences that come with life: love, friendship, hope, doubt, and the moments that shape us as human beings. While there is always room for depth and sincerity, humor, self-irony, and the sheer joy of playing together are just as vital. In 2026, the band released the singles High Hopes and The Rhythm In Me, and they are currently working on more new releases.

Their concert at the Nashville Nights Festival is a rare opportunity to experience Sounds Like Us with a full live band. On stage, the trio will be joined by some of Denmark’s most sought-after musicians, allowing the songs to unfold in their most vibrant and dynamic form. Ultimately, for Sounds Like Us, it’s about the exact same thing as when they first met as young musicians: bringing people together around a great story, a strong melody, and that special magic that happens when music is played by people, for people.
