With over 10 releases under his own name, and more if you count his experimental project “Crystal Ships” and the Danish-language project “Statisk Støj”, Jacob Faurholt is one of Denmark’s most prolific songwriters.
Faurholt swears by DIY and immediacy, often recording in his home studio and releasing small vinyl editions via his own label Raw Onion Records. His 2017 album “A Lake of Distortion” reached number 2 on Denmark’s official vinyl charts, and the first pressing was sold out around the record’s release date.
Faurholt’s music ranges from alternative folk, lo-fi, to noisy 90’s inspired indie rock, and his influences include artists such as Sparklehorse, Daniel Johnston and Guided By Voices
