Sara Indrio is a Danish-Italian singer-songwriter who, through five album releases and a long career in music, has created a unique musical profile in Denmark. As an artist, she has curiously explored musical formats from instrumental meditation music to Americana-inspired songwriting, and reinterpretations of 1940s Latin American music. However, the common thread throughout her musical work is a lyrical universe that depicts the existential aspects of life and a lyrically, almost restrained expression in her performances. Critics and reviewers have responded with five- and six-star reviews both nationally and internationally, a Danish Music Award nomination for Album of the Year, Album of the Week on P4, top-20 placements, and the prestigious Léonie Sonning Music Prize. She is currently working on her seventh album in collaboration with producer and guitarist Lars Skjærbæk, known for producing albums for Peter Sommer, Signe Svendsen, Søren Huss, and others.

Sara graduated from the Rhythmic Music Conservatory in 1998 with a degree in percussion as a soloist. She has performed as a session musician with some of Scandinavia’s most prominent artists, including Rebecka Törnqvist, Eric Gadd, The Savage Rose, Martin Hall, Peter Sommer, Thomas Di Leva, Nikolai Nørlund, Alberte Winding, and many, many more. She has participated in thousands of concerts and TV shows and hundreds of album recordings as a musician and singer.

For live performances in 2025, she has a band consisting of Lars Skjærbæk, Ida Hvid, and Mads Andersen.
